Why we built it

Club culture can easily split into bubbles. Different generations, genres and networks share the same city without always sharing the same dancefloor. Bubble House was created to interrupt that pattern.

Every edition pairs artists with different histories and perspectives. An established selector can meet an emerging artist behind the booth, while the audience hears both approaches become one shared story.

The back-to-back as a conversation

A back-to-back set asks artists to listen, respond and leave space. Nobody controls the full direction. That vulnerability is exactly what makes the format interesting.

The strongest moments happen when neither artist could have planned the next record alone. One choice changes the meaning of the next, and the room becomes part of that conversation.

More than one night

The goal is not simply to fill a room. We want new relationships to continue after the last record: between artists, audiences, venues and different parts of Amsterdam club culture.

Bursting bubbles means making discovery feel natural again. Come for someone you know, stay for someone you did not, and leave with a wider sense of the scene.
